Recommendations for people with breast radiotherapy

Follow your radiation oncologist’s instructions to the letter. I give you some recommendations, but please, ask if it is applicable to your case.

1. Go to your section with clean skin, without creams or perfumes.
2. In the days after your session, wash with dove soap or a substitute for “syndet” soap or for atopic skin.

For example:

Eurecin shower oil

exomega control shower oil

Xeracalm AD cleansing oil

atoderm bar

Syndet

3. Apply perfume-free emollient constantly, it can be for dry skin such as:

Lubriderm

Eucerin Ph5 lotion

Vaseline

cetaphil moisturizing cream

4. Do not expose that skin to the sun
5. Wear comfortable cotton clothing
6. Avoid waxing or shaving
7. If there is burning, redness or pain, discuss it with your dermatologist and radiation oncologist, there are medications to help you
