The gallbladder is a pear-shaped organ located under the liver. It stores bile, a liquid produced by the liver to digest fats. When the stomach and intestine digest food, the gallbladder releases bile through a tube called the common bile duct. That duct connects the gallbladder and the liver with the small intestine.
The gallbladder is more likely to cause problems if something obstructs the flow of bile through the bile ducts. The cause is usually due to gallstones. Stones are formed when there are substances in the bile that harden. Calculation crises typically occur after meals. Signs of a seizure due to stones include nausea, vomiting, or pain in the abdomen, back, or under the right arm.
DON’T LET IT GET COMPLICATED!
Gallstones can cause pancreatitis, infection, or obstruction of the biliary tract.
The surgery with more benefits, faster recovery, less pain, fewer complications, and impressive aesthetic results is laparoscopy.
