We all had different ages, likes, customs, we had grown up and been educated in different Mexican States, we even had very different and even opposite personalities. So … What caused such a different group of people to now have such a solid alliance? The answer … CONVICTION. We all met and got to know each other while each of us were looking for the happiness of “someone else”. That “someone else” with whom we didn’t share a surname, nor blood, not even a history, but who at that moment shared a present. A dignified and beautiful present despite physical, mental, family, health obstacles, etc.
Manning All Care SMA is much more than a Caregiver and Nanny agency. That “Much more” is the team that we make up and we govern ourselves by a very different concept and much higher than what being a Caregiver has meant for many years.
During the more than 35 years of experience, in which life has granted me the honor of serving others, I’ve met countless people with recommendations such as; – Don’t make it personal. -, – The patient isn’t your relative. -, – Be professional and don’t be involved. – and endless similar expressions. All of them with the content of “emotional detachment” towards the patient with a disability, the elderly with limitations, the single pregnant mother, the isolated child, etc. Why then continue to do the opposite? The answer is simple. As the hours, days, etc. passed, living with that person, whom we call our patients, the link became strong more and more. And… What about “professional detachment”? No room! No way!
Fortunately, it isn’t just me as a “rare specimens” and that is where other people with similar feelings met us. Men and women, young people and adults, we recognized each other. We didn’t need to say it with words, but our actions were manifested with the clearest vision, the vision of approaching any person with limitation and, being ourselves, the bridge that makes it easier for the patient to jump over the obstacle, whatever their condition. Our service is to support with therapy to disabled, medicine for the elderly, company for the single mother, guide the vulnerable child, but to each and every one of them… it’s to give them sincere love. The mission is that each one of the patients knows and feels theirselfs important to us and not only as a schedule with which we must to comply in exchange for an economic good that we’ll receive at the end of the week.
And this’s how Manning All Care SMA was founded. For the need of those who require human service to have a happy, full and quality life and for the enormous privilege of each of the team members, who, not only hang on to such a great blessing of serving, feeding, cleaning, accompany, coexist, etc., but that beyond only touching “professionalism”, they take over “human service”.
To be a Manning All Care SMA patient, only needs to request the service. To be part of the team, needs a heart full of love, a willingness to continue training day by day, the humility to deal with the limitation of the patient and where there is no space for any type of abuse, detachment, or abandonment for the patient. Fortunately, there’s a select staff with this philosophy at heart. Of course, the bond between caregiver and patient happens from the first moments and grows stronger over time.
