When a woman waits for you to change

He’s not only giving you love,

He’s giving you devotion.

Loyalty.

Faith in the man you could become,

Even when your actions said otherwise.

She endured, not because she was weak,

But because his heart was strong enough

To see beyond anger, silence, mistakes.

He elected to love the good in you,

Even when it was hard to find.

So the next time you call her “too emotional,”

“Exaggerated” or “crad”,

Stop and think:

She was never the problem.

She was the one who fought for you

When you weren’t even fighting for yourself.

And he didn’t deserve anything from the pain you gave him.

She deserved to be seen, heard and loved

With the same intensity with which she loved you.

That’s real love.

Don’t wait until he’s gone to understand it.
