Suicidal behavior is a set of behaviors related to the intentionality of communicating, acting, or performing a self-destructive act that could end one’s life.
It is a multifactorial problem, resulting from a complex interaction of biological, psychological, sociological and environmental factors.
It involves a difficult grief for any family.
Survivors tend to take responsibility for the other’s decision as their own. Feelings of shame and guilt often appear that lead the person to ask many questions that may not be answered.
Why? Could we avoid it? What did I do wrong?
It is recommended that the family go to a specialist, since this type of grief is usually lived in a very intense and prolonged way.
It is difficult to know what reasons the deceased had to carry out such a desperate action.
Therapy will help to elaborate all the feelings that arise and will give resources to understand the situation from another perspective.
